Acclaimed for her abstract sculptures, prints, and paintings, Elizabeth Catlett was one of the most prominent artists of the twentieth century. Her expansive collection of work reflects her commitment to the preservation of African American cultural traditions and the depiction of the lives of everyday, working-class people.



Gil Noble, was the producer and host of the public affairs program "Like It Is," has interviewed famous African Americans like Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Fannie Lou Hamer and Paul Robeson. During his career, he has worked to correct negative media representations of African Americans and has promoted ethics and objectivity in journalism.
